Children in Need

Thank you to everyone who supported us for Children in Need. We are having a wonderful Mufti Day. The children look wonderful!

School PE Kit

Children need their PE kit in school every day. Whilst PE is timetabled for all classes teachers will take the opportunity to put in extra sessions. All children need PE trainers alongside their PE kit. Over the next few weeks we will be checking school PE kit alongside our usual uniform checks.

Parent Survey

I have sent out a paper copy of the parent survey with every child in school. St George’s Primary School is constantly trying to improve the education for your children. In order to do so we need feedback from parents. Please complete the form and send it back to school with your child or hand it in yourself. Thankyou.

Christmas Fair- Friday 27th November

We will start to collect items for the Christmas Fair from Monday 23rd November. Please send in your donations for the usual stalls and raffle prizes. Books, toys, bottles, white elephant donations and items for the main raffle will be greatly appreciated. The School Choir will be performing at this event.

School Football- U9 Shropshire County Cup

The U9 football team played in the first round of the Shropshire County Cup tournament last night and won all three of their games without conceding a goal. Mr Blair commented on the excellent support from the parents. Well done everyone.

School football is very healthy at the moment with over 65 children coming to the school football practices with Miss Tidman, Mr Richards, Mr Porteous and Mr Blair. We also have 30 younger children at the Telford Coaching sessions on a Monday night. I will keep parents updated with the various tournaments.

Cross Country Running

We will be starting to build up to the Telford Cross Country League with regular running opportunities in school this term. We have Wednesday and Friday Runs at lunchtime. Mrs Sweeney is now doing lots of PE throughout school and will be having regular running sessions in PE lessons. Please ensure your children have their trainers in school- see previous article.
