TELFORD AND WREKIN MUSIC ....

Recently your child has been involved in a musical assembly where they had a fantastic opportunity to listen to some great music.

As a school we are working in partnership with Telford & Wrekin Music Service to promote and encourage our pupils to get involved and embrace music. It is proven that music has the power to build a child’s self confidence, self-esteem and problem solving skills, social skills and enjoyment.

We are able to provide lessons on a variety of instruments subject to the level of interest. The cost of a lesson is £8.50 this is reduced by 25% to £5.62 for those families in receipt of WFTC and fall into the income criteria. FREE lessons are offered to pupils who are eligible for free school meals in line with our remissions policy criteria.

This is a great opportunity for your child to learn to play an instrument with their friends at school.

Pupils can choose to learn to play any of the following instruments.

FLUTE              CLARINET         SAXAPHONE   BASSOON        PIANO                                                             TRUMPET         TROMBONE      VIOLIN               KEYBOARD

DRUMS            SINGING           ACOUSTIC & ELECTRIC GUITAR

Please note that most instruments can be hired – please contact Telford and Wrekin Music for details.

Each lesson requires a minimum of 3 pupils to run. So if you are interested please return you slip as soon as possible. We will then contact you as soon as enough interest has been received to run the lessons with the musical instrument your child has chosen.
