St George’s C of E Primary School Music Concert
St George’s will be holding a ‘Music Concert’ on Tuesday 12th July starting at 1.30pm. The concert is in aid of Multiple Sclerosis. As we did last year parents are invited to join us. We will be selling tickets at £2 each with all the money going towards the MS Society. A slip requesting tickets will be sent out to all the children in the school. Please return the slips to the school office. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Any spare ticket will then be made available to the children. There will be the same £2 cost. Children who have performed in Mrs Burnett’s ‘Singing Group’ will get first choice of tickets.
The concert will consist of a variety of musical acts all linked to St George’s. Professional musicians from the Telford and Wrekin Music Service will play as a band and support various music groups from school. School choirs from both Phase 1 and Phase 2 will perform. We will have a group of ex St George’s pupils from Telford Priory School (Wrockwardine Wood) who are in their school choir coming back to sing for us before they start their European tour later in the week.
I have also heard a rumour that the St George’s staff band is reforming following their success last year- watch this space!!
