Sport Relief Walk- 500+ miles

Well done to all the children who walked round the school field last Friday for Sports Relief. We added up all the laps and estimated we covered over 500 miles all together. We also raised £275 for this excellent cause.

School Choir

Congratulations to the school choir who performed at ‘The Place’, Oakengates on Tuesday this week in the Telford Showcase Concert. The whole school was then able to hear their performance in St George’s Church at our Easter Service on Wednesday this week. Mr Hylton and Mrs Branford have trained up a very special group of singers this year.

School Football Team Success

On Monday evening, our U11 football team progressed into the semi-final stage of the Telford and Wrekin Cup competition. Impressively, the boys won 6-0 away to Apley Wood and Mr Porteous would like to commend the boys' first-half performance in particular which was nearly faultless. (We were 6 up by half time.)

Telford Cross Country League

Well done to all the runners who competed in the first of the Cross Country League races last Wednesday at Dot Hill and the second at the Town Park this week.

A special mention for all children in year 3 who are new to this event. The final two races are after the Easter holiday.

Can you Sponsor our School Football Team?

We are looking to buy a new football kit that would be worn by our boys' and girls' football teams which would be worn in both the Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin Cup competitions. For £350 we can purchase x12 full kit and x1 goalkeeper kit that would include the name/logo of the company/sponsor who comes forward.

If you own or work for a company that might be interested in sponsoring our school football kit, then please contact Mr Porteous for more information.

Mornings in School

A reminder to parents that school runs a breakfast club from 8.00am in school each day. The cost is £1.75. Places do not need to be booked, you can simply turn up on the day. School cannot be responsible for children on the school site until 8.35am unless they are in breakfast club.

Arthog Payments are Now Due

Parents in year 5 and 6 will need to settle their payments for the Arthog trip. Any non-payment after Easter will be followed up via Telford and Wrekin’s legal department.

Easter Holidays

Remember we break up today (Thursday 24th March) and return to school on Monday 11th April. Enjoy your Easter holidays.
