Relationships and Sex Education Lesson Year 2.
Year 2 parents will be aware we have had our parents meeting two weeks ago to highlight the content of the Relationships and Sex Education curriculum. We have been waiting for Mrs Blair’s return from illness to run these lessons. Mrs Blair has informed us she will return to school on Thursday 29th June. The lessons will therefore begin during the week starting Monday 3rd July. Parents still have time to write to the school should they wish to withdraw their children from these lessons.

St George’s Annual Music Concert for Save the Children-11th July- 1.30pm
We are holding our annual music concert in aid our official 2016.2017 charity, ‘Save the Children’. We have a variety of musical performances; four school choirs, keyboard and guitar groups, Mr Hylton’s Band, TPS ex St George’s student choir, staff band and Telford Music Service professional musicians.
Parents are welcome to join us. We will be charging £3 a ticket (adult or child), with all the money going towards Save the Children. Please contact the school office directly if you want a ticket. We will offer any spare tickets to class teachers to randomly select children to give them to. We will ask for a voluntary contribution for these particular tickets. These spaces will be split evenly across all the year groups. Any performers will get in free.

A reminder that the school needs a deposit of £30 for the year 6 trip in September. Children who are entitled to remissions will not need to pay the deposit.
Thank You for Your Support for the Summer Fair
We raised over £1700 at the Summer Fair last Friday. Thank you to everyone who supported the evening. The money will go towards supporting children’s education. It is becoming increasingly important that school raise additional funds as budgets reduce across education.
Bracelets in School
We seem to have had an epidemic of bracelets in school. I need to remind you that the school policy on jewellery does not allow bracelets.
