Admission into the School
Telford and Wrekin LEA operate the school’s admission policy on behalf of the school, full details of which, together with information about the arrangements for admission are set out in the LEA’s information for parent’s booklet. “Primary Schools in Telford and Wrekin –A parent’s introduction to primary education including arrangements for admission.”. Copies of this document are held in school for the reference of interested parents, or alternatively are available from the LEA, (Pupil, Student and Parent Services), Civic Offices, P.O. Box 440, Telford, TF3 4WF.
Details for Reception Admission
There is one intake into reception in September for the whole year group. There will be a one week induction period of part time attendance. The school can provide some flexibility in exceptional circumstances but children are expected to attend full time.
The school can accept 70 into each of the reception year groups. The Local Authority manages the admissions policy for all schools. Please contact Telford and Wrekin LA for details of application
The LEA will allocate places and inform parents around Easter, prior to the start of the academic year. Please note that a place at St George’s Nursery does not guarantee a place at St George’s School.
Details for Nursey Admission
St George’s are now offering flexible times for children having 15 hours in Nursery. We are also offering a limited number of places for 30 hours. This enables parents to have a full time nursery place. The school also offers a combined placement with Little Dragons Playgroup on the school site.
